Jean-Jacques Roche began his career as a Professional Officer at the United nations before being appointed as a tenure Professor in Political Science in France. He is currently Professor at Paris 2 University where he is in charge of the Institute for Advanced Studies in Armament and Defense. He is more particularly specialized in security and defence studies where his researches focus on the theoretical dimension of global security and ant the issues dealing with privatized security.
