Dr. Müslüm Yilmaz holds an LL.B degree from Ankara University Faculty of Law (1992) and an LL.M degree from Tulane University School of Law (1998). He holds two PhD degrees, one from Ankara University (2005) and one from Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne (2015). He is licensed to practice law in Turkey and in New York, United States. Dr. Yilmaz joined the WTO Secretariat in 2001 and is currently working as Counsellor in the Legal Affairs Division. He has served many WTO panels as legal officer. Before joining the WTO Secretariat, he worked for the Turkish government for eight years, including five years at the Trade Remedies Investigations Unit. Dr. Yilmaz has publications in the field of WTO law and co-edits the Journal of International Trade and Arbitration Law, published by Legal Publications, Istanbul, Turkey.
