MEIG MASTER OF ADVANCED STUDIES EUROPEAN AND INTERNATIONAL GOVERNANCE MEIG Partnerships

an incredibly rewarding experience

Mr. Sujan Bidari, MEIG Graduate 2022-2023, Nepal

Being a part of the MEIG Programme has been an incredibly rewarding experience. The courses helped me to obtain knowledge on the architecture of European Union (EU), provisions of the Treaty on the functioning of European Union (TFEU) and Treaty on European Union (TEU) and better understanding of exclusive, shared and supporting competences of the EU.

This course also covers a wide range of topics about the UN, its structures, functioning and its impact on global affairs. My knowledge on World Trade Organizations (WTO), multilateral trade regimes, trade policies and agreements, trade defence instruments, and dispute settlement understanding have increased. I had an opportunity to visit many of the UN organizations in Geneva and EU institutions in Brussels and learn first-hand information about their work. The ambassadors, professors, lawyers, senior experts and scientists who taught in the course gave me practical knowledge and real-world examples. I highly recommend this course to anyone interested in gaining a better understanding of international governance, the role of the UN and EU, peace and security, sustainability, climatechange, digital governance and the key skills for a national or international career dealing with global issues that helps to achieve professional goals in the future.
