leadership at the global level

Ms. Kinga Nadege Koulouar, MEIG Graduate 2023-2024, Chad

I wanted to learn how leadership at the global level is organised and thanks to the MEIG Programme I have learnt much more than that.

Firstly, the MEIG has expanded my understanding of issues of global concern such as mass migration, climate change, health and environment risks, the need for the multilateral trade system, human rights violations, international terrorism, etc. It also equipped me with knowledge of key global actors that have mandates to deal with these concerns such as the United Nations (UN) on the one hand and the European Union (EU) on the other hand. The knowledge was imparted by the best practitioners exercising currently in these fields at the UN, the EU and the network of NGOs present in Geneva and Brussels as well as professors from across the globe.

Secondly, my knowledge about the EU as a regional actor in intergovernmental bodies such as WTO, WHO, ILO, and the United Nations General Assembly has been enhanced tremendously.

Finally, my leadership skills have been honed thanks to my participation in the MEIG. And, many more….
