MEIG MASTER OF ADVANCED STUDIES EUROPEAN AND INTERNATIONAL GOVERNANCE MEIG Partnerships

opened new opportunities for my professional career

Ms. Adriana Isabella Gamboa Figuero, MEIG Graduate 2023-2024, Peru

Being part of MEIG Programme has opened new opportunities for my professional career. As a Peruvian diplomat, my experience has so far been focused on two highly important areas of foreign affairs: bilateral relations and consular affairs. However, I’ve always been interested in multilateral diplomacy and international governance. The MEIG has provided me with knowledge and practical skills that cover multidisciplinary topics. From the structure and functioning of the supranational body that the EU is, to contemporary governance that covers Human Rights, migration, climate change, international security, trade-related issues, and much more.

For me, what makes this programme unique is that it merges the academic expertise of the University of Geneva and the insights of experts from UNOG and officials from several other international organisations. I now feel better prepared to contribute to the field of international cooperation, charting the path for effective global governance and sustainable solutions for cross-boundary challenges.
