The MEIG programme united many different nationalities
Mr. Salem Abaiss
MEIG Graduate 2019-2020, Libyan Permanent Mission to the United Nations in Geneva
The Master of Advanced Studies in European and International Governance gave me an excellent opportunity to improve my knowledge in global and European governance as well as the dynamics of multilateralism.
I came to Geneva as a diplomat at the Permanent Mission of Libya to the United Nations in Geneva, the MEIG Programme increased my in-depth understanding of many critical global issues that the international community needs to solve. I believe several elements make MEIG unique:
- Participants in the programme got the opportunity to interact directly with international experts and consultants and listen to different views through study visits to the international organizations based in Geneva, and the institutions of the European Union in Brussels.
- During the study lectures there was a great interaction between participants and professors, allowing for an exceptional understanding of the topics raised.
- The programme united many different nationalities, which helped participants understanding cultures and their differences.
Finally, I was honoured to participate in this programme, which enabled me to think seriously of continuing further learning.
